How will my games get determined?

For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Plan Holder. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:

Online Draft
New partner will participate in Online Draft. Draft will be held at a time and date agreeable to the majority of partners. Draft picks will be based on the number of games each partner is purchasing. Draft Order will be set fairly giving all partners a pick in the first round and the remaining picks will be fairly determined based on the proportion of games owned by each partner. The Draft Order shall NOT unfairly benefit or harm any partner(s). All games and tickets shall be included in the draft.

I'd like to move forward on joining the group. I'm a baseball lover and I'm really not that particular about what games are left. I can always buy game day tickets if i feel like i need to see a particular series. So next steps? Do you want to send me the games, i pick and then send you the check? Or do you want me to send the check first? Whatever works best for you.
  • Hi Trish! If you don't mind having a more limited game selection, then we are on! Next step is to accept the contract that I sent yesterday if it is still open, if not, send a new one. Personal check is fine, there just isn't an option for that in the system. Once the contract is accepted on both sides, we get real email addresses. I will send you a list of all the open games and you can pick. The Nats system wasn't up yet as of yesterday to add you formally as a partner. That is supposed to be up soon so you get your cards with the games on them. Ok? Susan

Susan - I've never participated in this electronic plan sharing before, so forgive me if I'm missing something. Sounds like you are proposing cashier's check, which I'm fine with. Guess I would need address to send it to. Also wanted to know, since you said there were about 40 games left to pick from, did you already do your lottery to draw for tickets? Additional information is helpful, since I would like to find a good group to work with and continue for many seasons to come.
  • Hi Trish.. yes, the other partners selected games this morning. Timing is everything. We still have about 40 games that we planned to sell on stubhub. We have games in almost every series, except the orioles, the Cubs and maybe the dodgers. If you are interested, you can have your pick among those 40 games. Next year we would all draw at the same time. I am not sure how to get you info on particular games. If you send another question with specific games or series, I can let you know.

How many games are left? I am interested.
  • Hi Jennifer. There are 25 games left. You can partner for 10/15/20/25 games. We can't do "odd lots" of games; it won't work for a lottery.

I'm potentially interested in 40 games. Are there any resale restictions? Also would post-season tickets be an option?
  • Hi Matt. There are not 40 games available any more. You can partner for 20 or 25 games. I don't know of any resale restrictions on the regular season. Post season tix are an option. But the Nats prohibit resale of post-season tix and there was press last season about teams enforcing that and owners lost their season tix. We aren't willing to test that. As you might have seen, we will see if we can move down a few rows when the Nats allow that. Will know by cob this Friday. Let me know if you are interested. Happy to have you join for 20 or 25 games.

Susan, I just clicked on the HELP button and then watched some tutorial videos that explain the system pretty well. Not sure of you've seen them but maybe worth checking out. I think we are on the right track. Just need you to accept the offer and finalize the agreement. Thanks Paul
  • Hi Paul, Ted Reed here, Susan's husband. The system requires us to specify ticket delivery method after you have sent your initial agreement to the contract. I'm doing so now (selecting "Ticket Forwarding". The system then passes the contract back to you to execute again because the ticket-delivery method is a new contract term. Please note that the contract says we will deliver tickets by January 14. We don't actually receive them to forward to you until next month. I'm glad you're joining us! GO NATS! Best, Ted

Ok, it says waiting for Season Plan holder to approve the. The agreement will finalize. Not sure. I'll keep watching. Sorry for the confusion. Is there something you have to approve? Thanks Paul
  • Sorry, more confusion. I thought the acceptance had gone through but it didn't. I looked at email 1 minute after your offer expired. I just sent you the same offer back. This all has to mean the actual season will be wonderfully smooth.

It shows in the system I accepted Season Plan Holder's offer and am waiting for their approval before moving to finalize the agreement. What's the next step.
  • Sorry Paul, I don't know. Maybe the system is waiting for the $40 payment to clear? I haven't purchased tickets through the system. Let me know if it doesn't clear by Monday. Susan

Ok, so moving down doesn't change anything does it other than we'd be a few rows closer. Are not all games put into the lottery? You mention that you keep about 30 games. How's the lottry work if not all games are available?
  • Hi Paul. All games are in the lottery except opening day. I haven't done this before either but I assume that we will go rounds picking. Blocks of seats of 10/15/20 can work in a lottery because you either pick one game in a round or two games in a round. 12 seats won't work in that. I'm going to take 30 seats but if you wanted 2 more games to get to 12, then you could buy games directly from me. Ok?

I am interested in 2 seats for 12 games, is that possible and do I get the ecard and red carpet points with my games? If so do I need to just submit the offer on the system. first time user....
  • Hi Paul, Yes, you would get the ecard and points. But you aren't guaranteed 12 specific games - it is a lottery among all the partners based on how many games each partner buys. Also, we can't do 12 games in a lottery with other partners. We can do 10 or 15. You could take 10 games and we can sell you 2 games from what we keep (about 30 games). Did you see we may move down within section 128 next week?

Thanks for the reply. Moving down would be great let me know I am still interested.
  • Hi Mike. Sounds great. No promises on moving down. I think you need to submit a new offer at this point. Thanks.

I was hoping for more than 10 games so I made the offer for 15. Do you not want to sell 15?
  • Hi Mike. 15 is fine. I wanted to point out that we are going to see if we can move down within the section. Next week the Nats allow you to change seats. Last year we moved down 3 rows. So there is a chance we may move down.

I sent you an offer and then you sent me a counter offer, but I really couldn't see any difference. However, I do see that the site now says your seats aren't verified. I'm pretty sure the listing said they were verified when I made the offer. This is my first time using this so please help me understand what is going on. Thanks.
  • Hi Rich! This is our first time using the system too, so I am sorry about the confusion. Yes, we have the tickets. The system defaults to sending you the tickets in November. We don't get the actual electronic tickets in our account until around January and we will do a draft with all partners at that time. So I was trying to clarify that in the listing info. And seemed to mess it up. I think the system reverifies if you change any info. Love to have you join us!

I am interested in joining your group for 2 tickets to 10 games. I am currently in group that provides the black access ecard which gives me 20% discount on food, etc. as well as access to the club level, proportional red carpet points, opportunity for post season, can you provide the same? Thank you!
  • Hi Joan, yes, as a partner you get the black card with the 20% discount and proportional red carpet points. Opportunity for post season is based on percentage of tix bought for the regular season. A few heads up, the tix are now $57 each, we are going to try to move directly down in 128 if we can when seats are available in January, and we are keeping the Opening Day tix. Have a great night.
