How will my games get determined?

For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Plan Holder. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:

In Person Draft
New partner will participate in an In Person Draft. Draft will be held at a time and date agreeable to the majority of partners. If a partner cannot attend a date, efforts shall be made to ensure partners picks are fairly selected (for example, ability to call in selection, or the option to send another person to make picks). Draft picks will be based on the number of games each partner is purchasing. Draft Order will be set fairly giving all partners a pick in the first round and the remaining picks will be fairly determined based on the proportion of games owned by each partner. The Draft Order shall NOT unfairly benefit or harm any partner(s). All games and tickets shall be included in the draft.

When you say "Playoff and World Series tickets will be shared at premium cost, based on availability," does that mean you are going to share playoff tickets at cost or are you marking up those tickets to some premium over what the face value is form the Nationals? How would playoff games be allocated?
  • Matt D., thanks for inquiring. The markup of postseason tickets is based on the team's pricing for regular buyers. NLDS games cost me $125 and I charged partners $150. NLCS games cost me $205 and I would have charged partners $230 if games had been played. WS games cost me $300 and I would have charged $445 if games had been played. For allocation, each partner submits top-5 dates and we go from there. For next season, one of my partners is buying four shares, 40 games. I have one other partner buying 10 games. I still have one share - 10 games - available.

Hi James, I am interested in joining a Season Ticket Group for my husband and son. Do you still have space available?
  • Hi, Aly. I have five games left to share: Wed 5/3 D-Backs 7:05 Sat 6/10 Rangers 12:05 Thurs 7/27 Brewers 12:05 Sun 7/30 Rockies 1:35 Thurs 9/28 Pirates 7:05 One of my partners wants to return several dates that she cannot attend, and I may have additional games from partners who return dates they cannot attend. Cost per seat is $75. Total cost of the five games here is $750. These are great seats in high demand. You also gain access to postseason and future shares. If you're still interested, please let me know ASAP. Thank you.

we are interested in midweek games, 2 seats per game - what is available? we have friends in section so are keenly interested in this plan.
  • Hi, Eugene. Thanks for inquiring. I have a 10-game share available in my Full Season Plan for 8 partners. Partners select games in a draft. Your picks in the draft order would be slotted in the 8th partner position, so you would draft games with the following picks - 8, 9, 24, 25, 40, 41, 56, 57, 72, 73. You would be required to pick 5 NL East, 2 NL Central, 2 NL West, and 1 Interleague. Seats are 117 K9-10.

I see that there is only 1 share (10 games) left. Has the game selection been made already? If so, what games are left for this final share?
  • Patrick P., we drafted last night. I have a handful of dates at premium cost. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you dates.

Hi James - thanks for sending the contract, just had two quick questions. What time is the draft on the 5th? Also, just wanted to confirm that we would be able to obtain post-season tickets if they become available. Thanks much. Ellie
  • Hi Eleanor, looks like the draft will be Sunday evening at 9:00, or Monday evening at 6:00, or next available time convenient to all partners, in an online thread. As of now, I have five shares spoken for in the group. As to post-season tickets, they will be available in the order in which partners joined the group. You are probably aware that there is great uncertainty with respect to availability. You would be in slot #5, so you would be offered the fifth available seat in my plan, the tenth available seat in my plan, etc. I'll have access to additional seats as well, so there will be more seats available as games are available. And there will be the opportunity of course to trade up and down with partners to get two seats at one game. The bottom line is, if the team only played two games at home before being eliminated from the playoffs, you'd be guaranteed at least one of my seats or a pair of additional seats in the lower level.

I ski interested in the 10 games, but would need at least 6 to be against the Mets.
  • Rule of the draft in the partnership stipulates that selections must amount to 4 NL East, 3 NL Central and 2 NL West (or 2 NL Central and 3 NL West), and 1 Interleague. With 18 games v. Mets to choose from, you are guaranteed at least 3 games v. Mets. You may engage partners and trade for additional Mets games after the draft, but it is not a guarantee.

I am interested, but just not following your method of distribution. Sounds like you are predetermining blocks of 10, then "drafting" the block? can you elaborate? And can I buy 2 blocks?
  • A share is 10 games. Yes, you may buy 2 shares, giving you 2 picks per round. As of now, I have sold three shares and have four remaining. The draft is for individual game selections. The only restriction is in selecting from the pre-determined distribution of 4 NL East, 3 NL Central and 2 NL West (or 2 NL Central and 3 NL West), and 1 Interleague. Thanks for your interest.

you mention 40 available and to be drafted in "4 blocks of 10". What about other 40? Are all 81 in the draft? or just the 40. Thanks
  • All 81 are in the draft. Share of Draft features 4 NL East, 3 NL Central and 2 NL West (or 2 NL Central and 3 NL West), and 1 Interleague.
