How will my games get determined?

For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Plan Holder. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:

In Person Draft
New partner will participate in an In Person Draft. Draft will be held at a time and date agreeable to the majority of partners. If a partner cannot attend a date, efforts shall be made to ensure partners picks are fairly selected (for example, ability to call in selection, or the option to send another person to make picks). Draft picks will be based on the number of games each partner is purchasing. Draft Order will be set fairly giving all partners a pick in the first round and the remaining picks will be fairly determined based on the proportion of games owned by each partner. The Draft Order shall NOT unfairly benefit or harm any partner(s). All games and tickets shall be included in the draft.

Hi. Just checking in, still interested in 11 or so games next year in your aisle seats. Any idea when new listings start?
  • Thank you for checking in. The club gave until 1 December to renew so renewed half the seats and put off renewal of those seats to "cash flow" post season tickets. I'll be executing the renewal next week so I'll send you a note through this listing when it's posted. Happy Thanksgiving!

What is included in the Club level MVP tickets. What makes it MVP?
  • Hi Delonte, MVP Club seats are a 4 section wedge in the Norfolk Southern Club. They're called MVP because they are the 4 sections behind home plate. There's no food or drink included. Club seats give you access to the Norfolk Southern Club, which has lounge chairs and tables, restrooms, food venues, cushioned stadium seats, and my particular seats are in the shade and under cover.

Okay. I assume you can let me know via this system when the new listing is up. I will then make you an offer on the 11 games. Thanks!!
  • Sounds great. I should have time to do that this week.

I definitely want 11 games. How can we arrange payment??
  • John, For us to connect using this online tool you have to navigate to the listing page and make me an offer. I will then accept your offer, indicating that you can pay by paypal. You will pay a small fee to the MLB for using this tool. I don't get that fee - it's either the MLB or the Nationals. After that this system will "reveal" each other's email addresses so that we can connect directly.

Sounds great. If I were to commit to the 11 pair for 2017, what are your payment terms?
  • 10% upon agreement. Remainder in 3 equal payments November January March. Most partners pay by, and I prefer direct deposit. We can work that out after we connect. Partner adding is closed for the season. You'll be added when it reopens in March.

Thanks. Another question: do you provide the "cards" as tickets and share rewards points?
  • Yes, I do. And partners that buy in for 10 or more pair get a post season share. Starting share is 2 pair. (e.g. this year partners with 10 - 15 regular season pair got 2 post season pair; 16 - 25 3 pair, etc.)

I am interested in buying some 2017 games from you, maybe as many as 10 or more, some pairs, some all four. is this possible??
  • John, Thank you for the inquiry. I have 11 pair of tickets available in these seats for 2017. I also have 4 other seats in section 215, on the other end of the row (but not on the aisle). In that seat group there are 80 pairs available. I'll get that group posted this week. So the direct answer to your question is that in these seats I can accomodate a partner wantingj a total of 11 pair, either as games with 1 pair or 2 pair or a combo.

Hi, I have club seats for 41 games in section 219, row b. Great seats but I need to downsize to 10-12 games. Can I chat with you about 2017 games? Thanks. Steve
  • Absolutely. I've had some folks in my other seats in 215 decide to either downsize or opt out entirely for 2017 because my contract is finished this year and the tickets jumped to $75. I have room for a new partner. If you want to send me an offer for 5 seats and pay you back for half of it if we can establish a partnership and fully if it doesn't work out. That way we can talk directly.

Do you have any tickets left?
  • In the seats under this listing, section 215 E 1& 2 and F1&2 I have: 4/10 - all 4. 4 /12 - all 4, 4/13 - all 4, 4/14 - all 4, 4/22 - 2, 4/26 - 2, 5/9 - all 4, 5/24 -2, 5/25 - all 4, 5/26 - 2, 5/28 - all 4, 7/15 - all 4, 9/6 - 2, 9/7 - all 4, 9/8 - all 4, 9/10 - 2, 9/11 - 2, 9/14 - all 4, 9/26 - 2, 9/29 - all 4.

Thank you. Just waiting on 216-A and their availability. $10 less per. I picked min five from your list. I'll decide in day or two.
  • OK - thank you for letting me know. For your consideration, I also also have 4 more seats in 215 but don't have a listing because all I have left in sets of 4 are April games. Those seats are 215 F 12 & 13 and G 13 & 14. Those 4 are on the end of a contract so I can sell these last few for $60 each. In sets of 4 there I have April 11, 12, 13, 26, 27. If you decide you want to go with my seats just add up the total $60 and $75 seats and make an offer for that total (or the average if you have to enter a per ticket price) and I'll accept the offer. Then, once you pay the Nats fee and we connect we'll work out the particulars. I just need a commitment by opening day so I can execute exchanges if I need to. Last thing - I also have 2 tickets in Club 3, which is all inclusive food and non-alcohol drinks listed on split season. You have to look at the list view to see them because the seats aren't shown on the map.

what specific games are left for all 4 seats? TY
  • Hello Rafael. Here's what's left in those seats: April 10, 12, 13, 14, 27 May 9, 25, 28 July 15 September 7, 8, 14, 28, 29

Do you still have any seats left?
  • Hi Thomas. I heldmydraft already and I'm in Florida for some spring training games. When I get back this weekend I'll update the siting to list specific games available. I have about about18 games left in these seats. I have 4 more seats not listed also with about 18 seats left.

Thank you for your response to my question. It was very helpful and answered my questions. I will make an offer. What are the payment options?
  • Great! The "system" presets are PayPal, cash, or certified check. Any of there are ok with me but I prefer cash or check (personal check is fine) but I wil do PayPal as well. I'm flexible it's just that PayPal charges me a fee to accept your money and again to take my money out and I need to use the money to pay for the season tickets. I don't want to make money on the sharing plan but prefer not to lose either. You have to make a choice in the offer process but then you pay me directly, so we can finalize payment method after we connect. Since it's close to the start of the season I would like 50% upon agreement then 25% in each of March and April. I'm negotiable on that as well and can work it out after we connect. What I typically do with unestablished partners still paying after the season starts is transfer ticket quantities that approximately match payments to date ( no offense intended) but that gives a new partner more time to pay for their plan while giving me some measure of security.

Thank you for your response. I'm a newbie to this process so I apologize in advance for the additional questions but I remain a little confused about the seats offered. I expressed interest in purchasing 2 seats for 15 games for seats 215 E 1 & 2 and 215 F 1 & 2. If I offered to join the partnership with such an offer and participate in the draft: a). Would all of my games be in one of these pairs of seats? b). Or would some games I might be interested in only be available for seats F 12 & 13 or G 13 & 14? c). Finally, are there other fees (administrative; processing, etc.) in addition to the cost of the seats included in the overview? I understand that parking is not included in this package, correct? It does sound from your comments that this is a very congenial partnership group. I remain interested in possibly making an offer to join your group.
  • Mike, I apologize for confusing the matter by mentioning the other 4 seats. If you make an offer for 2 tickets to 10-15 games I guarantee that there are enough unclaimed games in the E&F1&2 group of seats for you to be able to select that many games in those seats. The next question about availability of particular games is not as straightforward because the partners select the games in a draft. (see my response to a previous question below for how that works). Partners each make a list of games they want to go to and typically list some second choices as well. During the draft Partners take turns picking their games until everyone has selected the number of games they bought into. Because there are 2 groups of seats partners buy into one group or the other and there are 2 separate drafts. I only mention that there are 8 total seats because after both groups have finished their individual drafts partners are given a chance to look at all the leftover seats and if there are seats left for a game that they would prefer but did not get during the first draft they can trade a selection and take that game, regardless of which group of seats it is in. When game selections are done by draft, as most of the partnerships are, it's not possible to guarantee a partner will get tickets in their season plan seats for all of their first choice seats. Put another way, I can guarantee there are currently 25 games available in the seats listed but I can't tell you which games will be available as each person gets a chance to pick in the draft. I hope that clears things up. Since you are thinking 10-15 games my recommendation would be to buy in for 10 to get the feel of how the partnership will work for you, but list the other 5 games you want to go to. If the games are not taken by other partners you could add those on. As far as fees, if you move forward you would select " make an offer" and fill in the form. Somewhere in that form it will tell you the fee for using the service. I don't know exactly how that works because I've never done it but I do know that it's based on the number of tickets you are buying and I thinks it's about $40 for 20 tickets, but don't hold me to that because I'm not sure. That fee is a Nats/MLB fee and I don't set it or receive any of it. I don't charge you any fees. You only pay me the listed price of each ticket. The partnership has one parking pass in the C garage for $42 per game. That is handled as a separate transaction after joining. Even though there's only one pass only a few partners use it so it works out most of the time. If I have to buy additional pass for single games when multiple partners want it I get it with the season plan discount benefit so those times it might be a couple dollars more but still less than box office.

I am new to season ticket sharing so I have some follow up questions. We are primarily interested in the aisle seats. Can we limit choice to those seats? If so what does this do to our draft game selections? How close are the other seats to an aisle? Do other benefits accrue based on number of seats as indicated in prior years - post season ticket opportunity, Red Carpet points? Definitely interested in 2 seats for 10-15 games. Mike
  • Mike, There are 25 games available on the aisle seats. For the other set, the rows have 18 seats so, closest to the aisle is the the G 14 seat - the 5th; F 13 seat is the 6th - not too far in at all. I definitely share NatsPlus benefits with partners, including Red Carpet Reward Points and Post Season tickets. This group is a real partnership - partners are kept informed on the plan status; extra tickets are offered to partners before being offered elsewhere; partners trade tickets among each other when issues come up that cause a change of plans, etc. It's a great group to work with and most found the seats through the split season site.

Do you have 10, perhaps 15 games available with 2 seats together per game? Mike
  • Hi Mike. Thank you for your interest. I do have 10 -15 games with ticket pairs available among the 8 seats in the partnership. The 8 seats are 215 E 1&2, F 1&2, F 12&13, and G 13&14 (piggy-backed pairs.) I have a total of 41 unclaimed pairs. One partner has gone radio silent so if I don't hear from him by the draft (March 5th) I'll have 61. You can opt to join and select from the draft or select from remainders.

I requested to know how the draft was going to be held but have not received an answer. Please let me know the specifics and date of draft.
  • So sorry, John. For some reason your question didn't come through before. Here's the info you requested: Tickets are distributed in an in person draft after the game times and promotions are announced - tentatively scheduled for 17 Feb at 4pm. Ticket selection: Partners will select tickets using the following draft process: 1. The draft is conducted in person in 5 rounds. 2. The number of selections per round is based on the number of games in your plan such that all partner’s picks are complete by the end of the 5th round. 3. Partners that buy into 5 or fewer games will make their first game selection in the 3rd round. a. Example of partner with 10 games: Picks 2 games each round b. Example of partner with 12 games: Picks 2 games in round 1, 3 in each of rounds 2 & 3, 2 in each of rounds 4 & 5 c. Example of partner with 5 games: Picks 1 in round 3 and 2 in each of rounds 4 & 5 4. The order that partners pick in each round is determined by random drawing. Each partner will have slips of paper in a hat that corresponds to the number of picks the partner has in the round. Partners will select games in the order their name is picked.

Good morning . We are a family of 4 and new to the group ticket concept. We are looking to attend 8-10 games and need 4 seats per game. Is a block for that level still available? Thanks! Terri

Hi. I'm interested in 2 seats for 15-20 games. I think you've addressed most of this but please confirm...1) ALL games available and distributed via draft 2) 15-20 shares will include post-season tickets (also draft?) 3) 15-20 shares will inlcude ultimate access partner accts for ticket distribution 4) during draft, its possible to use selection to get other seats for same game. THANKS!!
  • Hi Greg. Thank you for your interest. Confirming your understanding: 1) Yes. No games are withheld from the draft; none are sold prior to the draft. All games are available for selection. 2) Yes - 2 tickets to 15 - 20 regular season games will qualify you for access to post season tickets. Post season tickets are also selected by draft. 3) Yes. A minimum of 2 tickets to 10 games is needed for Ultimate Access Cards. 4) Yes - it is possible to get the other seats for a same game during the draft but we operate with a "gentleman's agreement" that all other partners must have had a pick chance and not picked them or we just ask if anyone intends to select those seats on their turn. If not you may select them on your turn. Note that there are 2 partners that bought in for 4 seats per game. During the draft partnerseach pick is for the number of seats to a single game that the partner bought in for. Hope that confirms everything for you - happy to answer any other questions.

Christy, I very much want to accept your offer to finalize Agreement 13195 for 2 tickets at 12 games, but need to clarify the payment schedule. Your Listing Notes talk about a monthly payment schedule of 1/3 per month for Jan., Feb., and Mar., which I like. On the offer it calls for a final payment date of Jan. 21. Please clarify for me. I want this deal, but just need to understand the payment schedule. Thanks.
  • Hi George! The 3 payment plan described in the seat listing is absolutely in play. I do apologize for the confusion. I'm not completely sure I can change the date that is self populated by the website software. Also, it also only gives payment choices of in person, paypal, or certified check - and I would offer other methods once we connect. (I'll be sure to pay close attention if I get future offers to see if I can change that date.)

I am just learning the season ticket share. I am interested in 2 seats for each of 10+ games. Does this count as 20 games in your ticket share? During the draft would I get to pick 2 adjoining seats for each game?
  • Hi, Thomas. Thank you for your interest. No, That counts as 20 tickets, 10 games. I specify "20 tickets" in case someone wants singles. Yes, At the draft each partner pick is for the number of seats they bought into. So if you buy 2 tickets to 10 games each turn you would pick a game and get 2 seats together for that game.

Thanks for the response. It seems like going in for 10 games in these seats with 23 games available rather than your other listing with 60 available games would give me a smaller chance of getting the specific games I'd prefer. Is that true? I'll look for 10 games either way, but I'm looking for a good chance at getting tickets to games against the Cubs (for example) am I better off with your other seat block?
  • I agree, you would be better off joining the other block to have the best chance at the games you want. Also, you have multiple opportunities to get the games you want. First there's the draft. Then, let's say the other partners snag all the Cubs games and that you really want. You can pick a "dummy" pair and exchange that pair for the ones you want using the exchange system. When I exchanged last year my exchanged tickets were usually in section 217. Last, with 10 games bought you will get 1000 Red Carpet rewards and that will buy you 2 club level tickets.

I have a family of three. Would it be difficult to occasionally purchase a extra ticket to the gains I have committed to?
  • Since I don't have any single ticket partners you would have a good chance to get those. Plus, I try to send an email to partners before I exchsnge or sell extra tickets.

I'm looking for 2 tickets for at least 10 games, but I'm new to this. If I can't make it to a game, is there an opportunity to trade or will I need to sell them on my own? Also, will each partner get paper tickets or a card with the games on it?
  • Felix, You can absolutely trade when you can't make a game. You can do it yourself using the online exchange system, check with other partners to see if they want to trade, or check with me to see if I want/can make the trade. Of course the further in advance you know you can't use the tickets the more likely you are to to make a trade. Partners that buy at least 10 games get them on NatsPlus Cards which act as your game tickets and you get an Access account. From there you can email tickets to yourself or others and print them.

Hi, I'm new to Nats season ticket sharing. I'm looking for at least 10 games, 2 seats each. If I can't make it to one of my games, is there an opportunity to trade, or will I need to just sell them on my own? Also, will each partner be issued paper tickets or a member card with the games on it?

I am interested in 4 tickets for 10 games. How will the tickets be allotted? Will there be a draft? When will the distribution take place? Will the whole season be included (except opening day and the playoffs?)
  • Tickets are distributed in an in person draft after the game times and promotions are announced - usuallylate Februaryish. The whole season including opening day are included. Partners that buy 10 or more games (that would include you based on your expressed interest) get a share of post season tickets. The share of post season is based on the number of tickets bought in the regular season and is determined when we know how many partners we have at the all start break. Every partner gets at least 2 post season games. Partners also get a share of Red Carpet rewards points proportional to the number of games bought. This is a great partnership! Easy going, fun folks. For info, there's plenty of seats - the other listing you see in 215 is mine as well - so there's 8 seats to get your picks from. One other partner takes 4 tickets for 12 games. The rest only take 2 tickets so there's plenty of opportunity to get your "must see" games! Cheers.

How are the games allocated? And will playoff tickets be available under this plan?
  • I see you also sent an offer, which I accepted. Tickets are allocated in a 5 round draft. Each share holder that has 6 or more games gets picks in each round. The pick order is determined by drawing. You will absolutely get a share of post season tickets.

I'm very interested in purchasing 10+ tickets just for myself. Unfortunately, none of my friends or family members can commit to specific games. I'd like to confirm the process of this...if you agree to let me purchase 10+ individual tickets, each would cost $65.00 plus the service charge (which you don't charge). Question, how are the games selected? Do I pick them out? How do I pay you if you agree? I hope that you consider my offer. With all the choices listed, yours really caught my eye. I don't know if other shared ticket holders offer individual (1)/tcket to be shared or not. If they do, I'm SOL so to speak. I look forward to receiving a positive reply from you - thanks bunches. -Irene
  • I didn't mean for my post to read like I was offering single tickets, but I certainly understand your predicament - wanting the same good seats for all your games. I'm willing to work with you. Would you mind sitting in my other set of seats -215 G 12 & 14. I have a partner in those seats that buys pairs but also wants single tickets. He likes to always having the same seats so it would work out great. Games are picked by in person draft in 5 rounds. Because you are buying 10 tickets you would start picking in the 3rd round. If I synch you up with the other partner that wants single tickets you would start in the first round. We do random rounds - everyone that has picks in a round name goes in the hat times the number of picks in that round. Each picks in the order they are drawn. Last year everyone got the games they wanted! I only charge what I'm charged. For renewals if you don't pay installments like I have to pay I add $3 to each ticket since I'm carrying the debt. You do have to pay a fee to the Nationals through this site to get connected. to align with what you're offering select 2 tickets to 5 games (because I don't think 1 ticket to 10 games is a choice but the result and associated fee is the same.) I will work with you on how to pay.
    User Image
  • User Image
When u said u paid in installment..how it works?
  • My cost to the Nationals is divided into 8 equal payments August through March so that's how I ask partners to pay. For new partners I ask for a catch up payment in lump sum, then regular monthly payments. Monthly payment is $65 x number of tix per game x number of games and all that divided by 8. Catch up right now is 3 payments.

I just made an offer for 5 games, but could possibly take more, but don't want to commit to more than 8 or so. Would also want a share of red carpet points and post season tickets (next at this point, I would assume?).
  • Barbara, thank you for the offer. The partnership definitely shares red carpet rewards points and post season tickets among all partners that buy 10 or more games. You could always buy 10 and sell what you don't want to use. Tickets are paid for in installments so you don't even need all the money up front. The season plan price on these seats is $65 but the box office price is $80! So it should be easy to sell extras. I'll go ahead and accept your offer and you can decide if you want to finalize it. As far as this year goes, I have 1 pair of round 2 tickets left.

Sorry for the delay. Because we're a family of 4 we need 4 tickets for each game. Are the post season ticket seats together? Is there any room for negotiation after the offer is made and accepted? Eg. 8 games (32 tickets) and 8 post season 2014, or 10 games and 10 or 12 post season?
  • The post season seats are together. For round 1 I only have 4 together for the 3rd home game on the 9th. For round 2 I have 3rd and 4th home game - 18th or 19th if we get there. I have 4 world series tickets as 2 together in the 2nd and 3rd home games. I will have another opportunity to buy world series tickets and would seek 4 together for you. There is some room for negotiation after the offer so I recommend you make an offer for the minimum which I think is 2 tix per game for 5 games. Then we will properly connect and work out the final deal. There are a couple hard parameters: to get 12 post season tix you will need to buy 52 2015 tickets and in fairness to other partners you can select a max of 4 tickets to each post season round (so 1 game per round if you want 4 together).

Thanks. I completely understand. When I went to make an offer though it appears we have to reach a final agreement before they will put us in direct contact and I didn't see a way to communicate other than committing to buy the 13 pairs of tickets.
  • Sort of. Got to make an offer, from the draw down menu select 2 tix per game, then from the draw down number of games you should be able to select 5. Submit the offer. I accept, then you accept my acceptance, then you pay the fee based on 2 tix to 5 games. Then it goes final. The system will show both of us what your fee is. Then it's the honor system - you and I have agreed to work together to come to final transaction details, consistent with the Q&A thus far.

Following up, can you tell me which post season games the tickets are for and what seats they are. Is the purchase price face value? Thanks.
  • The tickets are in various locations on the 100 and 200 level. It's a chore to list every game and seat here. Hope you understand. You will get them at face value plus the fee that I'm charged, so the addition to face value is not more than $15 per ticket. That's post season. Season tickets are face value. In the time between your questions I sold 4 more tickets. I strongly urge you to make an offer for the minimum season games, pay the fee to put us in direct communication and if we cannot come to an agreement you're happy with I will personally refund the fee you paid. This method is more difficult and although the club is very quick to review and post there is a time delay.

Thanks. For 4 of us then we would need to purchase 3 games (12 tickets total) for 2015 in order to get 2014 post season tickets? Is that correct? If so, would 4 tickets at face value then be available for all three series in 2014, NLDS, NLCS, and World?
  • These seats are neither of those. They are what used to be the Stars and Stripes club, now the Norfolk southern club. No food or drink included, individual seats, not a suite. The area is however members only, separate from the rest of the concourse. Yes, I'd you buy at least 6 pairs of seats for next year you can get post season seats for this year. The number you get is based on the number of games you buy for next year. To have a chance for next years post season you need to buy 10 games for next year ( so 6 gets you post season 2014; buy 4 more for a total of 10 and get a chance for next year). Hi, New to Nats split ticket program. Are your seats considered Club 3 or Gold Glove Club tickets? If we're buying them now, is there any possibility of getting playoff or World Series tickets for this year as well? Thanks, Michael Graham
